Brewers Have the Roster to Win A Championship

As of July 13, 2026, the Brewers trailed the Tampa Bay Devil Rays by only a few percentage points, but their success remains rooted in a winning formula. Milwaukee is guided by one of the best skippers in baseball, whose leadership and strategic decision-making consistently position the team to compete.
The Brewers have also benefited from timely hitting, one of the league’s strongest starting pitching rotations, and a dependable bullpen capable of protecting leads. Together, those strengths have made Milwaukee a formidable contender and kept the team within striking distance of MLB's best record.
Although the Brewers rank last in home runs, their offense still packs plenty of punch. Jake Bauer leads the team with 21 homers, and emerging superstar Jackson Chourio has added 17 of his own. Milwaukee has excelled in other areas, ranking fifth in MLB in runs scored (592) and in team batting average (.252), also fifth in the league. Their balanced, productive lineup has allowed them to generate offense consistently despite the lack of the long ball.
The Brewers boast one of the best starting rotations in baseball, currently ranking second with a 3.50 team ERA, and Jacob Misiorowski has emerged as its dominant anchor. He leads the majors in ERA, strikeouts, and pitches thrown over 100 mph, establishing himself as one of baseball’s most overpowering and exciting pitchers. Milwaukee’s status as a small-market team should not be used as an excuse; if the organization is serious about contending, it must be willing to break the bank and secure Misiorowski with a long-term contract.
Misiorowski, Harrison and May would be a formidable trio to face in a seven-game series in the playoffs. Dustin May, acquired by the Brewers from the Cardinals, has quickly proven to be a valuable addition to the pitching staff. His strong performances have given Milwaukee greater depth and reliability on the mound, making an already challenging rotation even tougher for opponents to overcome.
